Ms Caroline Chia is the founder and director of La Musique Studio, Singapore. She holds the CT ABRSM (Certificate of Teaching), DipABRSM in Piano Teaching (Distinction), and the DipLCM in Piano Performance awarded by the University of West London (formerly Thames Valley University). Additionally, she holds a Master of Arts, MA in Music Psychology in Education from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom. With over 20 years of piano teaching experience, Ms Chia began her career at Cristofori Music School and later joined Kawai Music School before taking up a teaching position at Dimensions International College, where she rose to the position of Head of Music Department. She has extensive experience preparing students for graded examinations and competitions, with many achieving outstanding results under her guidance. Ms Chia has taught students across a wide age range, from young beginners to advanced diploma candidates, including older adult learners and children with special educational needs. She is experienced in both the ABRSM and Trinity College syllabi and continues to attend professional development courses and masterclasses to stay current with evolving pedagogical standards and examination requirements. In addition to piano, Ms Chia plays the harp and guitar and currently teaches guitar, ukulele, and music technology (BandLab) at a Ministry of Education (MOE) specialised school. Her versatility across instruments and platforms reflects her commitment to a comprehensive and inclusive approach to music education. Ms Chia has also actively explored the field of music therapy and was accepted into the Music Therapy Summer School at SRH University Heidelberg, Germany, in August 2020 — an opportunity that further broadened her understanding of the therapeutic and psychological dimensions of music. At La Musique Studio, Ms Caroline Chia combines strong academic credentials, diverse musical expertise, and a deeply rooted passion for nurturing musical talent in learners of all backgrounds.

I believe that music education should nurture not only technical skills but also creativity, self-expression, and a lifelong love of music. My teaching approach is student-centered, tailoring lessons to each individual's learning style and interests while maintaining high standards of excellence.
